Do you want to feel the wind in your hair? Do you want a change of scenery? Do you just want to run? If you have never run before, just the thought can be scary. I was putting together some hints and tips to share with you about how to start running when I found this picture. It has everything a begginer needs to know. Start small. Don't attemp to run a full marathon on your first day. Go out in the fresh air and run the distance of 1 lamppost then walk for 5 lampposts (or rest posts). Next time you go out, run for 2 lampposts and walk for 5. Continue on until you can comfortably run 5 lampposts. From here, start to take out a rest post. Run for 6 lampposts, walk for 4. Continue to add an extra lamppost in and take away one rest post at a time until you can run 10 straight lampposts. Now, every time you go, add more posts. Before you know it, you will be running 5km straight! For an added challenge, try running up hills, sprint as fast as you can to the next post or wear a backpack with a few pounds in it. Now get out there and RUN!
